Birthed from the vibrant research ecosystem at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, LAPIS is democratizing metal fabrication through a revolutionary sheet-based process.

Our work began at the Lai Research Group within NTU School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) and the Singapore Centre for 3D Printing (SC3DP) during the COVID-19 pandemic, when business disruptions across the globe revealed the vulnerabilities of complex supply chain networks. In response, we have developed an advanced digital platform for the freeform production of metal parts, so anyone can access metal production from the convenience of their facilities.

Today, our interdisciplinary team continues to refine this technology, ensuring every LAPIS system delivers speed, reliability, and smooth integration for real-world operations.
